Frequently Asked Questions
Working with Us
-
We help businesses run better by fixing how work actually gets done. That means assessing your workflows and processes, guiding technology implementations, and helping your team adopt new ways of working that stick. We operate at the intersection of strategy, systems, and day-to-day operations, so the improvements we recommend are grounded in what your team will realistically use.
-
Yes. We work across the full spectrum, from owner-led small businesses to large organizations. The rigor we bring is the same regardless of size; the approach is tailored to your context.
-
Both. Most advisory work happens remotely, which keeps engagements efficient and accessible regardless of your location. For workflow discovery, team workshops, or implementation support where being on the ground matters, we are available for on-site work. We will discuss what makes sense for your engagement during the discovery call.
-
You work directly with the principal consultant, not handed off to a junior team member after the proposal is signed. That direct relationship is intentional. It ensures the person who understands your business is the one advising it.
Services
-
Our work falls into four areas: workflow and process assessment, technology implementation advisory, change management and team adoption support, and operational growth planning. Many engagements combine elements from more than one area. We also offer optional project-based implementation partnership for organizations that want hands-on support beyond the advisory phase.
-
Absolutely. This is one of the most common situations we are brought in to address. Low adoption, inconsistent usage, and workflow mismatches after go-live are very fixable. We assess where the breakdown occurred, whether it is the configuration, the training, the workflow design, or some combination — and build a practical remediation plan. You do not have to start over; you just need to course-correct.
-
Primarily advisory; our value is in guiding the decisions that determine whether an implementation succeeds, not in being the vendor. That said, we offer optional early-stage implementation partnership for clients who want us more deeply embedded in the process. We are also happy to work alongside your existing implementation vendor or internal IT team.
-
Our background spans enterprise platforms, including Electronic Health Records like Epic and Enterprise Resource Platforms (ERPs) like Workday, as well as the operational and workflow tools common in small and mid-sized health and wellness businesses. Our advisory approach is platform-agnostic: we focus on the operational decisions and workflow design that determine success, regardless of the specific system you are using.
Process & Timeline
-
We start with a discovery conversation to understand your situation, goals, and where the friction is. If there is a fit, we scope an engagement built around your specific needs. Every engagement begins with a current-state assessment before we make any recommendations. We do not prescribe solutions before we understand the problem.
-
It depends on scope. A focused workflow assessment might take two to four weeks. An implementation advisory engagement can run alongside a project for several months. We will be clear about scope and timeline upfront, and we build engagements to be as efficient as possible so you are not paying for time that is not moving things forward.
-
Discovery requires access to the people who actually do the work — not just leadership. The best workflow insights come from staff-level conversations. Beyond the discovery phase, your team's time commitment is modest and structured around scheduled touchpoints. We design engagements to minimize disruption to daily operations while still getting the depth of understanding we need to give you useful guidance.
-
We define that with you at the start. For some clients it is a documented future-state workflow their team can follow. For others it is a go-live with measurable adoption rates. For others still, it is a decision framework that prevents a costly mistake before it happens. We do not believe in generic deliverables — what you get at the end should be directly tied to what you needed when we started.
Pricing & Engagement
-
Engagements are scoped and priced based on your specific needs, not a one-size-fits-all package. We offer project-based pricing for defined scopes of work, and advisory retainers for ongoing support. Pricing is discussed transparently during the discovery process. We do not believe in surprise costs, and we do not pad scope.
-
We work with small owner-led businesses and organizations that employ thousands. What matters is that there is a real operational problem to solve and a genuine commitment to doing the work. We will have an honest conversation during discovery if we do not think the scope warrants a formal engagement, and we will tell you that directly rather than proposing something that is not worth your investment.
-
Yes. Some clients want a defined project with a clear end point. Others benefit from ongoing advisory access as their operations evolve, especially during growth phases or multi-phase technology rollouts. We offer flexible retainer arrangements for clients who want continued access after an initial engagement.
Is Bloom Right for Me?
-
A few reliable signals: your workflows are inconsistent and nobody follows the same process; you have implemented a system but your team is not using it the way it was intended; you are about to go through a technology change and you want to get it right the first time; or your practice is growing and the informal way things have always worked is starting to break down. If any of those resonate, it is worth a conversation.
-
We bring enterprise-level rigor without the enterprise-level overhead or the delegation. You are not a line item in a large firm's portfolio. Our expertise spans clinical operations, technical systems, and organizational change, which means we can connect dots across those domains instead of working in silos. And because we focus specifically on health and wellness, we are not learning your industry on your dime.
-
That is a completely reasonable place to start. The discovery call is designed exactly for that. You do not need to arrive with a fully formed scope, just an honest picture of where things stand and what is not working. We will help you figure out what kind of support makes sense, and whether that is with us or someone else.
-
Book a discovery call. It is a focused 60-minute conversation to understand your situation and determine whether there is a fit. No pitch, no pressure. If we are a match, we will outline next steps. If we are not, we will tell you honestly and point you in the right direction.
